English grammar for kids: adjectives I spy games

how to play

The objective of the game is for the students to find words on the board game. The caller can say the item they have to look for, describe it or say the letter for what it begins.

  • In this game, there is one person asking questions (Player Q) and the other person answering questions (Player A). For example:
  • Player Q says, I spy with my little eye an elephant that is big.
  • Player A has to find the right box, then answer: Here! A1.
  • Each correct answer gains one point. In the next round players change roles for further practice.
  • The player with the most points at the end is the winner.

preparation

  • Print out a game board (or boards). If you want, you can stick the printout onto the heavy paper. Laminate for future use.
  • Before playing the game revise or pre-teach the vocabulary used in the activity.
