how to play

This flashcard game idea can be adapted to any language concept (in this case, to our Yes / No Questions topic). The instructions below are just a starting point to inspire you.

  • Deal four or five cards to each student.
  • Students take turns asking one other student if the other student has a card, for example, Does she go shopping on Thurdays?
  • If the other student has it, he or she says, for example, Yes, she does. Then he or she must give the card to the asking student and the asking student gets one point.
  • If the other student doesn't have it, he or she says, for example, No, she doesn't. The asking student picks a card from the pile.
  • The student with the most pairs wins.
