This flashcard game idea can be adapted to any language concept (in this case, to our Expressions of Quantity topic). The instructions below are just a starting point to inspire you.


You can use this activity to teach vocabulary on a variety of topics. Depending on your needs, make your own flashcards or scroll down for our printables. If you decide to use our flashcard sets, remember that this game can only be used with certain number cards which will need to be selected first.


how to play

  • Invite six students to come to the front.
  • Hand out six of the yellow number cards at random.
  • The students look at the numbers, then stand in the right order, facing the class, holding their number cards, for example, ten, twenty, forty, sixty, etc.
  • The class checks the students are right, then filling in the missing ones, for example, thirty, fifty, etc.
